Before WWII in Nazi Germany, Hans and Sophie Scholl peacefully questioned and opposed the Nazi regime. In creating the White Rose, they only wanted equality and the genocide of humans to stop, so they took a stand that in turn costed them their lives. Though insignificant at the time, the group's braveness expressed that sometimes being a hero means daring to express yourself no matter the consequences. This holds much importance to this day.
